On this tour through Sri Lanka, we have focused on the natural diversity and its attractions. However, there is always enough time to visit other highlights. Book your adventure today and discover the beauty and charm of this enchanting island nation. Embark on a 14-day adventure through the enchanting landscapes of Sri Lanka. And always with your own driver and guide. Entrance fees and half board are included.
Note: The routing can be adjusted depending on your starting point.

Day 1: Your private driver and guide will be waiting for you. Either on arrival at Colombo airport or at a pick-up address of your choice. Once your luggage has been stowed away, you can set off. The drive through Sri Lanka will give you a first impression of the breathtaking landscapes and cultural highlights. There will be plenty of time for photo stops. Today's destination is the Nice Place Hotel in Dambulla. Enjoy your dinner. How about a sundowner on the balcony or in the bar? Go ahead!

Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, your private team will be waiting for you. The first extensive stop is a visit to Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The impressive rock fortress, which is over 200 meters high, offers you spectacular views of the surrounding nature. A specially hired guide will accompany you on the ascent and tell you all about the site. Full of overwhelming impressions, your guide and driver will then be waiting to take you to Dambulla. You will visit the cave temple in detail. The cave temples of Dambulla, also known as the Dambulla Cave Temples, are an impressive architectural and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. This UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of five main caves adorned with fascinating murals and over 150 Buddha statues. The temple complex, which dates back to the 1st century BC, not only offers an insight into Buddhist art and history, but is also a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists. The majestic location on a rocky outcrop also provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Today ends at the Nice Place Hotel.

Day 3: Whether early or in the afternoon: depending on how you like it, today you will go on a safari in Minneriya National Park in a private jeep. Your ranger driver knows the park like the back of his hand and will enable you to spot plenty of game on this three to four-hour safari.

Day 4: After a hearty breakfast, you check out. Your driver and guide are already waiting for you: today's destination: Nuwara Eliya, 1800 meters above sea level. There are countless opportunities for stops and short explorations on the drive to Nuwara Eliya. One of them will certainly be the Ramboda Waterfall. How about a boat trip on Gregory Lake? Go ahead. The Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze Hotel is already waiting for you. Enjoy the hotel and your dinner.

Day 5: To experience a fantastic sunrise over the highlands and escape the midday heat, among other things, it's time to get up early today. The hotel will provide you with breakfast bags.
Your private driver and guide will be waiting for you before sunrise. We are heading to the Horton Plains National Park. On the way there, we will stop at a high plateau where you can experience a really impressive sunrise over the Sri Lankan highlands. You will feel the sun greeting nature and wildlife. The light turns golden and dew is in the air. The wildlife around you wakes up and really greets the day loudly. The journey continues to Horton Plains. Horton Plains - a gigantic cloud forest area - is not often offered. Pure experiences. The Worlds End plateau at 870 meters will be an experience. Want to bet? You must have the photo lens. And if you like, we can visit the Baker's Falls waterfalls. They originate from the Belihul Oya River, a tributary of the Walawe, and are around 20 meters high. Pure nature! We recommend sturdy footwear for this approximately three to four-hour hike.
After this hike, you board the train to Ella in Ambawela. You enjoy one of the most beautiful train rides in the world to Ella. Passing small villages, waterfalls and beautiful valleys, you reach Ella where your driver (with your luggage) is already waiting for you. A really beautiful stage ends at the Ella Mount Heaven Hotel. Relax in the pool before dinner is served. How about a sundowner at the bar?

Day 6: Check out after breakfast. Your guide and driver will be waiting for you at the agreed time. You will visit the Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adams Peak. Would you like to stop for lunch? No problem. Your guide will know where to get the best curry on this stage. Today's destination is the Nildiya Mankada Safari Lodge in Udalawala. Dinner.

Day 7: You should also get up early today. We're going on safari. But not just any safari. Sri Lanka Tours & Transports almost always organizes full-day safaris in Sri Lanka's national parks. This means that your ranger driver can drive the jeep (which is there just for you) much deeper into the national park and you will experience a very intensive game drive with breaks. The hotel will provide us with a small snack for lunch.
After this really intensive safari we drive you back to your hotel Nildiya Mankada Safari Lodge. Enjoy the pool and dinner.

Day 8: We hope you slept well. After breakfast, your guide and driver will be waiting for you. Today we head to the south of Sri Lanka. In addition to individual stops, a stop in Blow Hole is planned today. In the afternoon, you will reach the small town of Habaraduwa and check into the small and privately run Sayu Garden Hotel. Enjoy the peace and quiet, the large garden and the pool. Dinner.

Day 9: Depending on the arrangement, a Galle City Tour is planned for today. Galle is not only known for its historical significance, but also for the cultural diversity that characterizes the city. The churches of Galle, including the impressive Dutch Reformed Church, are important relics of the colonial past and bear witness to the Christian tradition in the region. The Galle Fort, with its impressive ramparts and charming alleyways, invites you to immerse yourself in history. The Dutch Hospital, considered one of the oldest hospital buildings in Asia, has been extensively restored and now offers a variety of stores and dining options. You will love it. Return to the hotel by arrangement.

Day 10: Enjoy your breakfast. Depending on your departure preference, you will board a tuk tuk today. We will show you Lake Koggala on this round trip. You will explore the lake with a local far away from the touristy roads. You will experience small villages, beautiful gardens, sand and gravel roads etc. You will experience Sri Lanka up close. On the way back we stop at a volunteer-run turtle farm. The turtle breeding farm in Habaraduwa is an important project for the conservation of endangered turtle species. Various species, such as the olive ridley and green sea turtles, are reared here. The farm aims to strengthen the populations of these animals and reintroduce them to their natural habitat. No commerce, as is unfortunately very often the case.

Day 11 - 13: Relax. or how about a walk on Habaraduwa Beach? Go ahead. It's just a 10-minute walk to the beach. Or would you like to fish from land? The manager of the Sayu Garden Hotel will recommend attractive tours.

Day 14: Check out after breakfast. Your driver will take you to the airport or your connecting hotel.
If there is time, we always recommend a stop on the way to the airport. How about a boat trip to Cinnamon Island on Lake Maduganga? The route takes you through the dense mangrove forests, past traditional shrimp traps and impressive stupas to the picturesque Maduganga Lake. The beauty of nature accompanies you during the boat trip: kingfishers fly through the air and majestic harriers glide over the surface of the water. Finally, you reach Cinnamon Island, also known as Cinnamon Island, which lies in the heart of the lake. This island is not only a place of tranquillity, but also a center for cinnamon cultivation, which has been practiced here for generations. The combination of lush vegetation, cultural highlights and special wildlife makes this stop an unforgettable experience. Ask the manager of the Sayu Garden Hotel. He will be happy to arrange this.
